A non profit, tax exempt organization, Atlanta Asian Culture and Arts Center aims to develop education, promote Sino-US cultural exchanges, and create a platform for the understanding and development of multi-culturalism. Since its foundation in 2006, AACAC has been faithfully serving the community by actively involving in numerous community activities. Major events AACAC have participated include the “Multi-Culture Celebrations” hosted by Atlanta City Council and Department of Atlanta Aviation, “US-China Night” hosted by the Chinese Embassy, “Who’s Who in Asian American Communities Award Ceremony” hosted by WWAAC Alliance Foundation, Fulton Science Academy Multi-Culture Festival, the High Museum Week of China, CDC China Week for Aids etc.. In addition, AACAC has been strenuously raising fund for children living in poor or natural disastrous areas. Furthermore, besides the Morning Stars dance evening events, AACAC sponsored the “5th Anniversary Celebration Dance Evening” which was open to the public in October 2010. All these performances enjoyed big success by attracting a huge number of local residents.
The Morning Stars dance shows have not only provided valuable performance opportunities for local dance students but also have helped them build confidence and gain invaluable experience in the process of rehearsals, preparations, and onstage performances. We are proud to learn that some of the students have achieved greater accomplishments year after year in various dance competitions, including multiple National Championships in Showstopper American Dance Champion Finals, Finalists in the world largest student ballet competition - Youth American Grand Prix, and the World Ballet Competition. This year, several students have been accepted for summer intensive programs by world famous Ballet Schools/Companies like Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington, and American Ballet Theater.
A world full of love, peace, and harmony is what we have been dreaming for. This dream will be displayed through graceful dances, enchanting music, and beautiful costumes. With the participation of over 100 students from local schools and organizations, AACAC would help create and further strengthen a peaceful and harmonious multicultural community of Atlanta.
